PURCHASED BY ME
China Glaze Roadtrip Collection Part 1
So I was on a low-buy for the month of January, low as in ‘lower’ but not truly low. Anyway, my treat for myself at the end of the month was the China Glaze 12 pc Roadtrip Collection.
When I started collecting I wasn’t real impressed with China Glaze; but I must say they have knocked it out of the park with their last couple collections. The Locomotive Collection was a real winner in my book!
The Road Trip collection is 12 polishes, so I have split them in their original sets of 6 each.
Dashboard Dreamer
This was my first to try, and the next day I used it as a base for some nail art. Dashboard Dreamer is a pastel blue with just enough fine shimmer to give it some glow. The swatches below are 2 coats with OTD top coat.
Wanderlust
Wanderlust is a soft lavender leaning a pink, again filled with shimmer. The formula on this needed a little babying, it didn’t want to self level on its own. Swatch below is 2 coats plus OTD topcoat.
Boho Blues
I’m not usually a blue polish girl, but I love this blue! So pretty, and the formula on this one gave me no problems at all. Swatch below is 2 coats plus OTD topcoat.
Pack Lightly
Pack Lightly is a beautiful soft peach loaded with shimmer. Again, the formula on this one needed a little babying as it didn’t want to self level. The swatch is 2 coats with OTD topcoat.
Pinking out the Window
Pinking out the Window seems like more of a coral to me, a pink leaning coral, but that’s okay I love it regardless. No problems with this one. The swatch below is 2 coats plus OTD topcoat.
I Brake for Colour
I Brake for Colour is the reddish creme of the collection. I like this cause it’s not too red, leans ever so slightly orange. No problems on the formula with this one. Swatch is 2 coats with OTD topcoat.
So what do you think? Do you have a favorite yet? I’ll have the other 6 for you in a couple days! Until then…
