Today I have the Wet n’ Wild Limited Edition Silver Lake Collection. Originally spotted by bloggers in a few select stores last month, but living in a nail polish black hole I knew I would never find it here. I am yet to see a new collection at my local CVS, and only one ravaged collection in Walgreens. So, I very much appreciate those who buy these collections and resell on Ebay for a reasonable mark up. I paid about $3.00 per bottle (including shipping) vs the $1.99 retail price. But I have it! All nice, pretty, brand new, and in my nail polish loving hands!
The 6 polishes in this collection are Tree Hugger, Stream of Consciousness, Wear Skinny Jeans, A Latte Love, Reject the Mainstream, and Warm Filter.
Tree Hugger
Tree Hugger is a pastel green creme. Lovely formula, went on smooth in 2 easy coats. Plus 1 coat of OTD top coat.
Stream of Consciousness
Stream of Consciousness is a pale sheer shimmery pink. This was 3 coats, so obviously this is a sheer polish. I had no application problems though. This is awesome to stamp over. 🙂 One coat of OTD top coat.
Wear Skinny Jeans
Wear Skinny Jeans is a pale spring blue, leaning ever so slightly purple under certain lights. This swatch is 2 coats with OTD top coat.
A Latte Love
A Latte Love is a neutral soft, well latte creme. This swatch is 2 easy coats with OTD top coat.
Reject the Mainstream
Reject the Mainstream is a bright springy lavender creme, again with a great formula. 2 easy coats with OTD top coat.
Warm Filter
Warm Filter is a bright coral leaning more orange than pink. Bright, but not neon, this is my favorite of the collection. But in all honesty if there is a coral it’s likely to be my favorite. I’m a coral girl. Swatches below are 2 smooth coats with OTD top coat.
So what do you think of this collection? If you are lucky enough to spot it in your stores you can’t really go wrong with it. Smooth formula, beautiful color, and a great price.
