Hello ladies (and gentlemen?) Today I have a brand new collection from Color Club, the Poptastic Pastel Neon Remix Collection. I first saw some swatch stick swatches of this collection a few days ago, and was very intrigued. I haven’t found many swatches from other bloggers, so hopefully this helps you decide if this collection is for you.
This collection consists of 7 pastel neon polishes, each a sheer jelly base with iridescent glitters. They are all Glow in the dark, although they all glow green or slightly varying shades of green.
Boogie All Night Long
Boogie All Night Long is a soft pastel neon pink packed with iridescent glitters. The swatches below are 3 thin coats with Seche Vite top coat.
Soul Sister
Soul Sister is a sheer lemony yellow pastel neon packed with iridescent glitters. The swatches below show 3 thin coats with Seche Vite top coat.
It’s Electric!
It’s Electric is a sheer lemon-lime jelly base packed with iridescent glitters. The swatches below show 3 thin coats with Seche Vite top coat.
Get Down Tonight
Get Down Tonight is a sheer blue pastel neon jelly base packed with iridescent glitters. The swatches below show 3 thin coats with Seche Vite top coat.
Call of the Disco Ball
Call of the Disco Ball is a pastel neon peach jelly base packed with iridescent glitters. This was probably my favorite from the collection. The swatches below show 3 thin coats with Seche Vite top coat.
On the Flip Side
On the Flip Side is a grassy green pastel neon jelly base packed with iridescent glitters. This was my least favorite of the collection. I found the formula to be thick and goopy, and even with 3 coats I couldn’t get even coverage. Even with multiple coats of Seche Vite the polish was still clumpy on my nails. Out of the whole collection, this is the one I would skip on.
Feel the Funk
Feel the Funk is a pastel purple jelly base packed with iridescent glitter. The swatches below are 3 thin coats with Seche Vite top coat.
Glow in the dark: I didn’t do a glowing swatch of each, as they all basically glow the same. But they do glow nice and bright and charge easily with normal light.
All of these are sheer or semi-sheer at 3 coats, so if you hate VNL (visible nail line) you might want to layer these. They are designed to go with the Poptastic Pastel Neon cremes Collection (which will be posted soon as well). Overall I really like them, with the exception of On the Flip Side, and I hope to do some cool glowing nail art with them soon.
This collection is available online at http://www.colorclub.com and a number of other e-tailers who sell Color Club. You might be able to find them in stores such as Marshall’s or Bed Bath & Beyond, but I wouldn’t bet on that.
Back soon with the cremes collection!
Hope you enjoyed today’s post.
