So I’m a little late getting my post done for the new China Glaze collection, but better late than never right? 🙂 I think they are worth the wait too, if you haven’t seen other swatches yet. So let’s jump right in!
This collection consists of 12 new colors; 3 duochromes, 3 glitters, and 6 cremes.
Pondering
Pondering is described as a deep amethyst duochrome. Shifting from deep amethyst to a deep green/teal, this is a color is fully opaque in 2 easy coats. Formula was easy and smooth. OTD top coat.
Gone Glamping
Gone Glamping is a gold to green duochrome. The formula on this was a bit thinner and I used 3 coats for full opacity. It’s still one of my favorites from the duochromes, so I feel the color pay off is worth it. OTD top coat.
Cabin Fever
Cabin Fever is a rose to copper duochrome. 2 easy coats for opacity. Finished off with OTD top coat.
Take a Hike
Take a Hike is a rich moss green creme. Perfect formula can easily be one coat. OTD top coat.
Let’s Dew It
Let’s Dew It is described as a multi-dimensional blue grey glitter. Shown here is 2 coats over Check out the Silver Fox. One coat of OTD top coat.
Sleeping Under the Stars
Sleeping Under the Stars is a dark blue creme with pink stardust shimmer. Great formula, could almost be a one coaster. Topped with OTD top coat.
Check Out the Silver Fox
Check Out the Silver Fox is a metallic gunmetal grey. 2 coats followed by one coat of OTD top coat.
Change your Altitude
Change your Altitude is described as a pebble greige creme. I would call this the perfect grey. Two coats topped with OTD top coat.
Wood you Wanna?
Wood you Wanna? is a rich brown burgundy metallic. Easily the most unique color in this collection, as well as my personal favorite. 2 smooth coats with OTD top coat.
My Lodge or Yours?
My Lodge or Yours? is a natural mauve creme. Not necessarily a unique color, but definitely a beautiful one of you don’t already have one like it in your collection. Can easily be worn year round as well. 2 easy coats with OTD top coat.
Free Bear Hugs
Free Bear Hugs is a deep black red creme that dries to a high shine. Has a tendency to stain cuticles so polish carefully! This is 2 coats with OTD top coat.
S’More Fun
S’More Fun is described as an adventurous lemon lime creme. Formula was a little streaky, which isn’t overly surprising with this shade, but I worked it out in a few coats. A bold choice for a fall collection! I love it when brands throw a bold fun color into fall collections, I know I’m not the only one that needs a pop of bright color year round!
Overall I think this is a very well done collection. It doesn’t blow me out of the water, like the last couple collections have, but it’s a good solid fall collection with a little something for everyone. The majority are unique colors with very nice formulas, and only a couple ‘mehs’ in the bunch. If you love duochromes I would definitely pick those up, they are very well done and like any good duochrome can be totally transformed with a black undercoat.
My personal favorites; Wood you Wanna?, Pondering, Cabin Fever, and Sleeping Under the Stars. I tried to narrow it down, I really did. 🙂
