I am a huge fan of Alchemy Lacquer’s so I was understandably stoked when Rebecca asked me to swatch this collection. I have been eagerly swatching, and not so patiently waiting, till I could show these off. And finally the time has come! There are 10 amazing polishes in The Harrowing collection so let’s jump right into the swatches…
Knight of Cowardly Wrath
Knight of Cowardly Wrath is a deep teal jelly base filled with flakies and holographic shimmer. Fully opaque at 2 coats, and OTD top coat.
Mistress of the Nameless Crypt
Mistress of the Nameless Crypt is a sheer white base loaded with iridescent flakes. Shown here in 3 coats with OTD top coat. First coat was a little streaky but smoothed out nicely by the 2nd and 3rd.
Lady of Ill-Fated Destiny
Lady of Ill-Fated Destiny is a micro glitter/flake bomb made up of orange, gold, purple, and pink micro glitters and flakes. Shown here is 2 coats over a solid pink base, or this could be worn alone in 2-3 coats. 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.
Mistress of the Void
Mistress of the Void is a medium grey creme with a soft pink shimmer as the light hits it. Perfect fall grey with a soft feminine touch. Shown here is 2 coats with OTD top coat.
Princess of Forlorn Desire
Princess of Forlorn Desire is a blackened purple with a strong linear holo. Very pigmented, could almost be a one coater. Shown here is 2 coats with OTD top coat.
Muse of Lethargy & Despair is a rich mauve pink with a reddish pink shimmer in the light. Another very pigmented shade, could almost be a one coater. Shown here is 2 coats with OTD top coat.
Prince of All Sorrows
Prince of All Sorrows is a deep teal blue linear holo with a deep purple blue duochrome shift. The shift is being incredibly camera shy in my swatches, and is a bit more apparent in the bottle than on the nail. Very pigmented, could easily be a single coat. Shown is 2 coats with OTD top coat.
Lord of Whispered Paranoia
Lord of Whispered Paranoia is a micro glitter/flake bomb loaded with green, teal, purple, and black micro glitters and flakies. Shown is 2 coats over Mistress of the Void, with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.
King of Lost Hope
King of Lost Hope is a clear base filled with multi chromatic flakies. Shown here is 1 coat over Queen Beyond the Pale, can also be layered to opacity in 2-3 coats. One layer of OTD top coat.
Queen Beyond the Pale
Queen Beyond the Pale is a soft shimmery pink with a blue shimmer in the light. Shown here is 2 coats with OTD top coat.
My Thoughts: This is a stunningly gorgeous collection; with a great combination of colors, types, and finishes. I have been a fan of Alchemy Lacquer’s for years and this collection is a great example of what I love about Rebecca’s polish. The formula on each and every one is smooth and very easy to work with, no application issues at all. There is literally something for everyone. I normally pick a few favorites out of collections I swatch but that will be very difficult with this collection, if not impossible, as I love every single one and will wear them all repeatedly. You definitely will want to add at least 2-3 of these to your collection, if not all of them. That’s probably easier than choosing! 🙂 The Harrowing releases on Saturday, October 10. Mark your calendars!
Remember, Saturday October 10th. The Harrowing Collection by Alchemy Lacquers!
Which of these will you be picking up?
Until next time, stay polished.
