So I recently saw an ad on facebook and immediately clicked through to find more information. What I discovered was Yattly.com which carries anything and everything for the dog lover in your life. And even better, they have nail art water decals in all sorts of breeds and designs! How fantastic right?!
Yattly sent me 2 sheets of decals to show you all, one is a classic paw print with a great sheer quality to it. The next is a pair of labs, black and golden. So let’s take a look at my mani using these decals.
For this mani I used Fresh Paint Honeydew and Sally Hansen Peach Babe (which is actually very pink). I wanted some fun colors to really show these off!
The sheets come with a ton of individual decals, so if you mess up a few times (like I did) it’s no big deal! I started with the paw prints, I cut them out with some extra edge but not a lot.
I then dropped them in a cup of warm water for just a few seconds. The decal starts to slide off very quickly, so you don’t have to leave it in there long.
When you take the decal out of the water you want to be very gently with it. They are a bit fragile, so if you man handle it they will start to tear or fold in on themselves. Very gentle apply the decal to your nail. I used the smallest size so I actually had room for two decals on one nail. Once its placed gently dab with a paper towel to soak up any excess water. Wait a few minutes, then add top coat and you’re done. Each sheet of decals comes with really good detailed instructions too.
As you can see I added the labs decal to my ring finger, but sadly the golden lab is so sheer she got all but completely lost over my base art. This one might work better over a solid white base, but even then she is not going to really pop like the others do.
How do you like my finished mani?
Yattly has lots of other dog theme items, so be sure to check them out. And if you happen to have a dog wedding in your future they can even hook you up there! 🙂
Until next time, stay polished!
