Good Morning Ladies! I remember when I first got involved in the polish community the question I saw being asked more than anything else was “What is the most non greying holo top coat?” Well, the answer is all holo top coats will produce some greying… except tinted holo top coats of course! Let’s take a look at MDJ Creation’s Holographic Tints…
For this review I really wanted to show you not only how they appear over base colors, but also how much tint to expect from each one. So for each of my swatches I used 1 coat over a base color for my index and middle finger, and 3 coats alone for my ring and little finger. Topped off with glossy top coat.

These holo tints are so versatile. As you can see there is no shortage of holo in these so they are obviously perfect for layering over your favorite colors. Some of them even build up enough to be worn on their own. And the other use? Lead Lighting! Can you just imagine all the holo leadlighting possibilities? I will definitely be doing some leadlighting manis with these so be looking for those coming up soon!
The Holographic Tints are currently available in Melissa’s Etsy shop (linked below.) They retail for $9.75 for the full size. The complete 7 piece collection is $57.50 for full size, and $29.50 for minis.
Until next time, stay polished!
