Hello lovelies! It’s time for another #whencolorscollide mani. This time the colors were yellow and blue. I, among many others, just cannot wear yellow. It makes me look dead. To my surprise not only did the mani turn out great, but it’s definitely a recent favorite! Let’s take a look…
For the yellow and blue I picked out Sinful Colors Juane Pastel and Kleancolor Pastel Blue (from their new gel hybrid series.) I didn’t have stamping polish to match perfectly, so I blended a small amount of various MdU polishes on my miracle mat until the colors matched.
Using an image from plate UberChic 4-01 I stamped the yellow straight onto my bare nails (only a base coat). I then did the same with the blue on the accent nail. Then using Kleancolor Pastel Blue I painted the tip onto the yellow stamped nails. Once that was dry I painted the thin yellow line using Sinful Colors Juane Pastel and a small striping brush. I then repeated this step, with opposite colors, on my accent nail. Finished everything off with glossy top coat and Tada!
One of the rules in the group is that we not share mani’s until the final group collage is done. So perhaps the hardest part was waiting 2 weeks to show this to anyone outside the group! 🙂
And of course the group collage photo…
So what do you think of this mani? I continue to be surprised by how much I love the outcome even with colors I would never wear.
Until next time, stay polished!
