So we are officially into September now, okay not quite I got a bit ahead of myself. It’s not that I don’t enjoy fall, infact I like fall quite a bit. The problem lies in that I really hate winter and fall is another reminder that winter is coming. But the collection I have to show you today is a nice break from dark fall colors. Today I get to introduce you to a new to me indie, Grace-full Nail Polish, which hails from Australia the land down under. This is the Once Upon a Dream collection, and it’s definitely dream worthy. Let’s take a look!
One of the first things you may notice is the angel wings logo on the bottle or the spelling of Grace-full. The meaning to both I found on the About section of the website. It’s so very touching that I wanted to share it as part of this post.
My brand is called Grace-full, the Grace is after my daughter who we only got to keep for 32 1/2 hours and the hyphen full is from a gorgeous little girl gone too soon that taught us all that things aren’t just beautiful they are beauty-full. ~ Theresa Carter
Grace-full Tickled by Wings
Tickled by Wings is described as a mid blue pastel linear holo with a pink shift.
My swatches of Tickled by Wings are 2 easy coats with a glossy top coat. I used my typical very thin coat as the first layer and used a slightly thicker coat next to reach opacity. You may find that you need 3 coats, but I think 2 will be enough in most situations. The pink shift in this more subtle, but still so pretty.
Grace-full Nail Polish Dragon Snuggles
Dragon Snuggles is described as a soft violet linear holo with a blue shift.
My swatches of Dragon Snuggles are 2 easy coats with a glossy top coat. You may find that you need 3 coats, but I think 2 will be enough in most situations. You can really see the blue shift in my swatches.
Grace-full Nail Polish Unicorn Rides
Unicorn Rides is described as a coral linear holo with a strong pink shift.
My swatches of Unicorn Rides are 3 thin coats with a glossy top coat. 2 coats was enough for opacity but I think it looks better with the color intensity of 3 coats. Unfortunately my camera just refused to pick up the true color, it’s a deeper coral than my swatches show.
Grace-full Nail Polish Touched a Scale
Touched a Scale is described as a neutral bone linear holo with a gold shift and pink sheen.
My swatches of Touched a Scale are 2 easy coats with a glossy top coat. Anyone that loves neutral holos needs this polish. It has the beautiful pink sheen that makes it unique.
Grace-full Nail Polish Pony Whispers
Pony Whispers is described as a soft periwinkle linear holo with subtle blue and pink shimmers.
My swatches of Pony Whispers are 2 easy coats with a glossy top coat. You may find that you need 3 coats, but I think 2 will be enough in most situations. You can really see the blue and pink shimmers in the macro shot below.
Grace-full Nail Polish Swam with a Narwhal
Swam with a Narwhal is described as a soft green with a slight shift to blue in the shimmer.
My swatches of Swam with a Narwhal are 2 easy coats with a glossy top coat. This has a bit of a metallic holo feel to it which I really love, this makes it stand apart from similar shades.
Grace-full Nail Polish Fairy Kisses
Fairy Kisses is described as a soft pink linear holo with a slight silver shift, full of shimmer.
My swatches of Fairy Kisses are 2 easy coats with a glossy top coat. The silver shift is quite subtle, but it’s a pretty soft pink linear holo with a nice shimmer.
My Thoughts: This was my first time trying Grace-full Nail Polish and I was very pleased. The colors have a beautiful soft pastel feel to them, which I don’t often see in holos. When you consider all the extra shimmers and shifts, these really stand apart.
I found the formulas to be easy to work with and remained consistent across the collection. They are all quick to dry, in above average time. I also love the adorable little coordinating stickers on the side of each bottle!
This collection releases this Friday September 2nd at 7pm CST.
