I’m excited to share another great collection from Blush Lacquers with you all today. Victoria really does superb contrasting shimmers, and this time we get a whole collection of them! This collection contains 5 shimmers or “mermaid shades” and 1 “beach shade.” Prepare for lots of ohhhs and ahhhs, because these are just that pretty…
Blush Lacquers Platinum Sands
Platinum Sands is described as a silvery chrome polish with silver holographic glitters.
I almost never wear these silvery type polishes, they just don’t do my skin tone tone any favors. But I do really like the little holographic glitters in this one. Application was 2 smooth easy coats plus a glossy top coat.
Blush Lacquers Shelly O’The Sands
Shelly O’The Sands is described as dusky blue-ish green with a pinkish-coppery shimmer.
Shelly O’The Sands is fairly sheer, as it has to be to really show off the contrasting shimmer. I use very thin coats and needed 3 to reach opacity on each of these shimmers. Someone with shorter nails could probably get away with just 2 coats.
Blush Lacquers Indigo Stinger
Indigo Stinger is described as a medium purple with a silvery-green shimmer.
You’ll notice here that my macro appears to be a very different color than my straight swatches. That is simply because the contrasting shimmers can greatly affect the color in certain lights. For my swatches I used 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.
Blush Lacquers Marina Azure
Marina Azure is described as a purply-blue base with a green shimmer. Shown here in 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.
Marine Azure is the sister polish to Indigo Stinger, they are similar but Marine Azure leans a bit more blue and it has a vibrant green shimmer and Indigo Stinger has a green/silver shimmer. They are both beautiful, and I’m not sure I could choose between the two but Victoria has thought of everything and is offering 3 different options for those wanting the collection but maybe not both purples. More on that will be detailed at the end of this post.
And here is a comparison to help you see the differences.
Blush Lacquers Nerida Singer
Nerida Singer is described as a muted green with a coppery red shimmer.
The moment I saw the bottle I knew I had to get this baby on my nails! I am a green polish lover and this green is simply superb. My personal favorite for sure. Swatches are 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.
Blush Lacquers Fin Swirl
Fin Swirl is described as a dusky mauve-y purple with a golden copper shimmer.
Usually I’m not big on mauve, but the addition of the contrasting shimmers changes everything. It looks like it’s glowing and I love the bright gold like flashes. Shown here in 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.
My Thoughts: Victoria has done it again. This is a fantastic collection; from the amazing unique shades to the spot on consistent formulas. Although still a newer brand to the indie scene you would never know it from this collection. She is very detail oriented and that comes through in a big way in the quality of her polishes. Nerida Singer is my personal favorite, mostly due to the color, but you really can’t go wrong with any of these. They all share the same amazing formula and will blow you away with the gorgeous shimmer!
And now for the important info…
As I said the Sea Water Shimmers collection will be available 3 different ways for those that want the full collection.
Option 1: Marina Azure, Indigo Stinger, Fin Swirl, Shelly O’the Sands, Nerida Singer and Platinum Sands
Option 2: Indigo Stinger, Fin Swirl, Shelly O’the Sands, Nerida Singer and Platinum Sands
Option 3: Marina Azure, Fin Swirl, Shelly O’the Sands, Nerida Singer and Platinum Sands
So basically this lets you choose both Marina Azure and Indigo Stinger, or just one of the two.
Anyone who purchases the collection (whether its the 5 or 6 piece collection) will receive a free mystery “mermaid shade.” The mystery shade is a single batch without restock, so while supplies last of course.
This collection will be available at midnight EST on Friday, September 2nd. Individual polishes will retail for $9 each or $54 for the 6 piece collection.
And how about a little sale to put the extra toppings on this already decadent dessert?
