I hope all you lovelies are having a good day today. I have something a little different for you today. This is the Dia de los Muertos collection from Leesha’s Lacquer. For those that don’t know this translates as Day of the Dead, a popular holiday celebrated in Mexico and Latin America at the beginning of November. Let’s take a look at this collection.
Leesha’s Lacquer Bailarina de Muerte
Bailarina de Muerte (Dancer Death) is a raspberry jelly polish with a combination of black hex glitters and black square glitters, iridescent squares and shreds. My swatches show 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.
Leesha’s Lacquer Carnival Espirito
Carnival Espirito (Carnival Spirit) is a White crelly polish with a mix of pink, blue, and yellow glitters; as well as bright pink microglitters. This was a bit streaky on the first coat, but built up nicely and reached full opacity for me in 3 thin coats. I love how fun this is! Sealed with glossy top coat.
Leesha’s Lacquer Pan de Muerto
Pan de Muerto (Bread of the Dead) is a solar polish that is an off white cream indoors and a beautiful soft pink outdoors. It has also some soft gold colored flakes that are mostly unnoticeable with the cream but come out to play in the sun. Shown here in 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.
Note: The “sunlight shot” below was taken on a cloudy day, but still transitioned nicely. I suspect the transition is more noticeable on an actual sunny day! 🙂
Leesha’s Lacquer Papel Picado
Papel Picado (Confetti) is a fun vibrant glitter topper that consists of red, orange, teal, purple, soft blue, and pink glitters. I layered it here over Pan de Muerto. One coat sealed with glossy top coat.
Leesha’s Lacquer La Catrina
La Catrina (Elegant Skull) is a holographic glitter topper with an additional black, pink, silver, and purple mix of glitters. I layered this in 2 thin coats over a soft pink base. I really love how this looks over pink, but could easily be worn over your favorite shade. Sealed with glossy top coat.
The Dia de los Muertos collection will release on Saturday, September 17th in coordination with Polish Con. But no worries, it will be available in Leesha’s shop for those of us not able to go to Polish Con. These will retail for $8 each for the full size and $4 each for minis.
