Pretty Beautiful Unlimited is a relatively new indie, and one that has caught my eye a few times. So when Virginia contacted me a couple weeks ago about swatching her BIG holiday collection naturally I said Yes! There are a total of 14 polishes in The Light of Christmas collection, so we better jump right in!
Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Shattered Ornaments
Shattered Ornaments is described as a clear base with UCC flakies, chameleon pigment that shifts green, blue, purple and pink, chameleon glitters and galaxy glitters.
I layered this in one coat over a basic nude creme. I think it could also be sponged on for full coverage.
Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Pink Bunny Pajamas
Pink Bunny Pajamas is described as a medium pink crelly base with silver shimmer and chameleon pigment that shifts mauve, red, orange and yellow, galaxy glitters for extra sparkle and pink, silver and green glitters in various sizes and colors.
I am strangely obsessed with pink holiday polishes. This is 2 easy coats with glossy top coat.
Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Sugar Plum Fairies
Sugar Plum Fairies is described as a royal purple base with scattered holo and violet shimmer and chameleon flakies.
Is this the perfect purple or what? 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Eggnog and Icicles
Eggnog and Icicles is described as a white crelly base with platinum flakies, blue to gold chameleon pigment, chameleon flakies and glitters and UCC flakies that shift gold, bronze and silver.
White. Gold. Platinum. A class-eee polish! I used 3 coats for my swatches but anyone without an annoyingly super visible free edge could probably get away with 2 coats. Glossy top coat.
Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Christmas Kisses
Christmas Kisses is described as a clear base with gold and rose micro flakies and red, gold, green and white glitters in various sizes.
A quintessential holiday glitter topper. Everyone needs one, or 6. I layered this over Eggnog & Icicles in 2 coats with a glossy top coat.
Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Home for the Holidays
Home for the Holidays is described as a red crelly base with scattered holo, red shimmer, red and gold glitters and UCC flakies that shift gold, bronze and silver.
Can we just talk about this red? This red right here. ⬇️⬇️ I don’t buy a lot of reds. I’m one of those where I find a red I really really like and wear it a dozen times between November and January. Rinse. Repeat. Well this beautiful baby just got added to that short list of favorite reds. Oh, and ignore that large rogue flakie on my pinky. I used 2 coats for my swatches, but this baby is opaque in one coat. Yes, ONE coat!
Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Holiday Cookies
Holiday Cookies is described as a clear base with silver, red, green, white and chameleon glitters in various sizes and colors.
Here we have a classic holiday glitter topper. This one is more glitter based where the other one was more flakie based. I layered this in one coat over my new favorite red polish (see above.) ⬆️⬆️
Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Holly Berry Frost
Holly Berry Frost is described as a mauve base with platinum flakies and subtle linear holo.
Be still my holo loving heart. I swatched this baby first. Then I came back 2 days later to do the rest. I just was not willing to take her off my nails. Looking at my swatches now I want to put this stunning baby back on again! This is 2 perfect coats with glossy top coat.
Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Frostbite
Frostbite is described as a royal blue jelly with white flakies, chameleon glitters and white glitters in various sizes.
Blue. Jelly. Flakies. You need this polish in your winter arsenal. Then you can continue to wear it all year long! Another perfect formula. 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Christmas Spirit
Christmas Spirit is described as a clear base with holo and silver flakies, scattered holo and a rainbow of glitters.
I wanted to try this one as full coverage. It came pretty close, even with my annoyingly super visible free edge. But naturally can be worn over your favorite base color.
Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Holiday Cider
Holiday Cider is described as a bronze metallic base with scattered holo, red micro shreds and glitter, bronze micro flakies and red shimmer.
This one isn’t my favorite. The glitters give it a ‘bumpy’ look and I feel like it’s a bit brush stroke-y. Maybe that’s just me. Full coverage in 2 coats and sealed with glossy top coat.
Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Christmas Mint
Christmas Mint is described as a light grayish turquoise crelly with UCC flakies that shift blue, gold and green; silver galaxy glitters and red shimmer and micro flakies.
Another favorite! 2 flawless coats, sealed with glossy top coat.
Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Evergreen Dreams
Evergreen Dreams is described as an emerald green jelly base with chameleon flakies and glitters, and turquoise shimmer.
I love the combination of glitters and flakies in this one, but again I felt like it looks a little bumpy on the nail. It actually isn’t though, with top coat it’s completely smooth. Check out the macro below, you’ll see what I mean about the great combination of glitters and flakies. Smooth application in 2 coats.
Pretty Beautiful Unlimited Christmas Castle
Christmas Castle is described as a blackened base with chameleon pigment that shifts blue, pink, and gold; violet micro shreds and UCC flakies that shift blue, aqua, and violet.
A beautiful dark, almost sultry, polish. This one makes me think of halloween too. This is opaque in 2 coats but I used 3 to deepen the color. Sealed with glossy top coat.
Whew! How’s that for a big collection of pretty? Like I said I was excited to try this brand and I was not disappointed. They all had a smooth easy to use formula and dry very quickly. I found many favorites in this collection. I’m tempted to list them, but it would be a long list. A beautiful well thought out collection that literally will have something for everyone!
The Lights of Christmas Collection releases Saturday, November 12th at 11am CST.
