Hi lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break! I decided kind of last minute to take the last week of the year off from blogging. There is always so little going on then, and I didn’t have any pressing posts.. so I just enjoyed a little down time. I still did lots of swatching and writing though, so lots of things in the pipeline!
Today’s post is the soon to be released Glam Polish Rydell Forever Collection, inspired by the musical Grease. Now is the time that I must confess I have never seen the movie. Nope, not even once. But I still know pretty polish when I see it. Rachel never ceases to amaze and impress with her collections, so let’s take a look at the Limited Edition Rydell Forever Collection…
Glam Polish Go Grease Lightning
Go Grease Lightning is described as a Bright Red Jelly with Iridescent Flakies and Holo Microglitter.
I rarely wear red polish, but when I do I’m always reminded how much I love it. My swatches show 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Glam Polish Rockin’ an Rollin’ an What Not
Rockin’ an’ Rollin’ an’ What Not is described as a Space Gray 12D Holographic polish.
The 12D holographics from this collection are stunning. So much depth! My swatches are 2 coats with glossy top coat. I used an extra coat of TC on these to make them completely glassy smooth.
Glam Polish Too Pure to be Pink
Too Pure to Be Pink is described as a Baby Pink Crelly with Shifting Flakies, Glass Flecks and Holo Microglitter.
I can count on one hand the number of times I have wore a baby pink polish, but there is just something about this one that pulls me in. It didn’t have that common “baby pink formula” issue either, it does need 3 coats for opacity but it applied easily, smoothly and dried super quick. Sealed with glossy top coat.
Glam Polish You’re Cruisin’ for a Bruisin’
You’re Cruisin’ for a Bruisin’ is described as a Navy Blue 12D Holographic polish.
Another amazing 12D with depth for miles. This is 2 coats with 2 coats of glossy top coat. I used an extra layer of TC for a glassy smooth finish.
Glam Polish Peach Keen, Jelly Bean
Peach Keen, Jelly Bean is described as a Bright Magenta Jelly with Iridescent Flakies and Holo Microglitter.
This is definitely one of my favorites. The color just pops, and it has the same buttery smooth formula as the rest. 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Glam Polish It’s Electrifying!
It’s Electrifying! is described as a Green Jelly with Iridescent Flakies and Holo Microglitter.
The name is perfect for this shade. Bright, bold green! A must for any green polish lover. A bit more sheer than the rest, I used 3 coats plus glossy top coat for my swatches.
Glam Polish Oh Sandy!
Oh Sandy! is described as a Bright Purple Crelly with Shifting Flakies, Glass Flecks and Holo Microglitter.
Depending on how you polish you may need 3 coats for this one. I use extremely thin coats though, so 2 thicker coats would probably be enough. Sealed with glossy top coat.
Glam Polish Summer Lovin’ Had me a Blast
Summer Lovin’ Had me a Blast is described as a Cerulean Blue Crelly with Shifting Flakies, Glass Flecks and Holo Microglitter.
2 thicker coats or 3 thin coats would work on this one aswell, I used 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.
Glam Polish Tell Me About it, Stud
Tell Me About it, Stud is described as a boysenberry 12D holographic polish.
How many ways can I say “I love this color!”? I swatched this last for a reason.. I knew I wouldn’t want to take it off. Incredible depth and sparkle in 2 easy coats. I used 2 coats of TC for an extra smooth glossy finish.
Do you have favorites from this collection? It is always so hard for me to pick favorites of Glam Polish; but from this collection I would have to choose Peachy Keen Jelly Bean, Too Pure to be Pink, Summer Lovin’ Had me a Blast, It’s Electrifying and Tell me about it Stud.
The Rydell Forever Collection will be releasing Friday, January 6 at 1pm EST. You might want to set an alarm so you don’t miss it!
