I have recently been on a hunt for a new matte top coat. I’ve been using Pure Ice happily for over a year, but it started to feel “too matte” for my taste. So when I received Blush Lacquers Matterial Girl I was more than ready to give it a test run. Let’s take a look…
I knew right away I wanted to matte Nerida Singer, one of my all time favorite Blush Lacquers and one of my all time favorite shimmers. That shimmer really pops with the matte top coat!
So no doubt that looks amazing, but I wanted to put it up against some of my other matte top coats. So I tested it against 3 others layered over Blush Lacquers Behind the Curtains Shadow.
I compared Matterial Girl to NYC Matte Me Crazy, Pure Ice Matte, and Zoya Matte (which I got all around the same time.) You can see that NYC is a little less matte than Blush Matterial Girl is, and you still get some shine even. Pure Ice is very matte, to the point it’s even a bit too much. You actually lose some of the glitter and it even affects the color a little. And lastly is Zoya Matte, which I really don’t need to say much about. It clearly isn’t the best choice.
And here is another angle…
I know which my favorite is, I now have a new go to matte top coat!
Blush Lacquers Matterial Girl top coat will be available Friday March 3rd at 7pm EST. Price will be $7.35 a bottle.
