Are you relatively new to the indie scene? Want to try lots of brands without spending too much? Short on storage and love mini bottles? The idea behind A Mini Indied box is super smart and creative! You receive 8 limited edition mini polishes (7ml and above) from 8 different makers. This month the box is Urbarn Safari theme, so each polish is based on a popular destination in the individual makers hometown. And this month one of those polishes is a complete mystery! How fun is that? So let’s jump in and take a look…
Alter Ego Union Memorial Terrace
Union Memorial Terrace is located on the Lake Mendota shore in Madison, Wisconsin.
Alter Ego Union Memorial Terrace is described as a sheer blue base with yellow, orange and green micro glitters. This one is quite sheer so it’s best layered over another color. My swatches are one coat over blue, shown below in 3 coats alone.
Bluebird Lacquer Casa BonitaMade for the restaurant and entertainment destination in Denver, Colorado. One of the nation’s top ten roadside attractions.
Bluebird Lacquer Casa Bonita is described as a bubblegum pink base with teal, blue, and pink glitters; and holographic microglitters. Easy smooth crelly formula and the glitters lay flat on the nail. Shown here is 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Leesha’s Lacquer Cherry Cherry Spoon Spoon
Made for the centerpiece sculpture in Minneapolis Sculpture Garden in Minnesota.
Leesha’s Lacquer Cherry Cherry Spoon Spoon is described as a super glowy red with silver micro flakies and holo shimmer. I love the bright shimmery red! Flawless formula. 2 coats plus glossy top coat.
Envy Lacquer Disney PhillInspired by the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
Disney Phill is described as a silver holo with green, blue and yellow shimmer. This is such a unique color. Lovely formula to match as well. For my swatches I used 2 coats with glossy top coat.
77 Nail Lacquer Grab your Lederhosen
Inspired by the town Leavenworth in Washington State.
77 Nail Lacquer Grab your Lederhosen is described as a light golden beige with strong golden shimmer. I found the formula on this one to be a bit thick, but a few drops of thinner did the trick. For my swatches I used 3 coats with glossy top coat.
Joy Lacquer Miner’s Landing
Made to represent the color of the waterfront on Pier 57, a popular tourist spot where people can ride the carousel, ferris wheel and visit the Seattle Aquarium.
Joy Lacquer Miner’s Landing is described as a periwinkle blue base scattered with microglitter in turquoise, pink and green. Another true beauty! There is so much going on in this lovely blue. My swatches show 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Turtle Tootsie Polishes Liberty Bell
Made to represent the iconic cracked bell located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Turtle Tootsie Polishes Liberty Bell is described as a brown jelly polish with rustic gold shimmer. A beautiful complex shade. Nice easy formula. For my swatches I used 3 coats with glossy top coat.
And of course don’t forget the mystery polish. No swatches of it though, as then it wouldn’t be a mystery. I can tell you though that it is a maker that has been featured previously in the Mini Box Indied.
Everyone who purchases the box will have the opportunity to win a full size upgrade of one color. Each maker has submitted a question pertaining to their landmark to be included in the short trivia form. (Copy can be seen here. Form to be completed at time of purchase.) All the answers can easily be found on google. Completing the 8 questions is all you need to do in order to be eligible. The 8 full size bottles will be randomly given based on those who fill out the form.
The Mini Indied Box will be available on Friday, April 28th. The cost is $30 for the box, plus shipping. US shipping will be $5, Canada will be $7, and International will range between $13-20 with any excess charges refunded.
