Happy-ish Monday guys! Here I sit on another Sunday night feeling like I didn’t get near enough accomplished again. But who has the time to be productive when all you want to do is sleep late and binge watch netflix? Well today I have the Blush Lacquers Spring release, The Flower Gathering Collection. This was initially released last month but the first restock is coming up this Friday, so let’s take a look!
This is a collection of super sparkly and holographic shimmers in delicate spring shades. It was inspired by Victoria’s favorite poem, Flower Gathering by Robert Frost.
And in the morning glow
You walked a way beside me
To make me sad to go.
Do you know me in the gloaming?
Gaunt and dusty grey with roaming.
Are you dumb because you know me not?
Or dumb because you know?
All for me? And not a question,
For the faded flowers gay
That could take me from beside you
For the ages of a day.
They are yours and be the measure
Of their worth for you to treasure,
The measure of the little while
That I’ve been long away.
Blush Lacquers Ages of a Day
Ages of a Day is described as a soft seafoam-aqua green base with a blue shimmer and holographic flakies of varying sizes. You may also see a purple shift in shimmer. For my swatches I used 2 coats with glossy top coat. Since these all share the same formula I will tell you more about them at the end of this post.
Blush Lacquers All for Me?
All For Me? is described as a soft lavender base with a pink micro flakie shimmer and holographic flakies of varying sizes. I’m wearing 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Blush Lacquers Measures of Treasure
Measures of Treasure is described as a soft lime green with a red micro flakie shimmer and holographic flakies of varying sizes. My swatches are 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Blush Lacquers Know me Not
Know Me Not is described as a soft rosy pink base with a blue shimmer and holographic flakies of varying sizes. You can also see a red/purple shift in shimmer. Shown is 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Blush Lacquers Faded Flowers
Faded Flowers is described as a soft ballet slipper pink-nude with a red shimmer and holographic flakies of varying sizes. You may also see a pink-purple shift in shimmer. Shown here in 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Blush Lacquers Gloaming Roaming
Gloaming Roaming is described as a soft cornflower blue base that leans a little purple, with a blue-green shimmer and holographic flakies of varying sizes. You may also catch a purple shift in shimmer as well. I’m wearing 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Blush Lacquers Morning Glory
Morning Glow is described as a soft mauve-pink base with a golden green to blue shimmer and holographic flakies of varying sizes.
Morning Glow is only available as free polish with purchase of the complete Flower Gathering collection.
Now since these are loaded with various holographic flakes some have a bit of a tendency to want to stick up a little. It took me a bit to get the hang of it, by gently nudging them down as I went. I also think thinner coats would help, so while 2 coats provides opacity 3 thinner coats will help to provide a smoother finish in the process. Either way, it’s still so so worth it for these pastel beauties! They have an almost mystical like quality to them, unlike anything else I have in my collection.
These retail for $10.25 each or $61.50 for the full collection which includes the free bottle of Morning Glory. Restock will be this Friday, May 12th on Blush Lacquers Etsy shop (linked below.)
