Harunouta L034 Stamping plate from Nicole Diary
Harunouta L034 is a rectangular floral themed plate with very fine outlined images. It is perfect for reverse stamping or leadlighting techniques. I decided to start with a basic look by stamping on a white base with a black creme polish. It picked up perfectly right out of the gate. Even with the very fine lines of this plate I had no problems getting a very clean stamped image.
I decided to expand upon my monochromatic stamping with a leadlighting technique using sharpie markers and rubbing alcohol. I love this technique because it’s easy to create an abstract watercolor look.
To start you will need a small dish of rubbing alcohol, a nail art brush, and a pack of sharpie markers. You will want something non porous that you can scribble some of the sharpie color onto, I like to use the back of a swatch wheel. Plastic bag would work well too. Simply dab your brush into the rubbing alcohol and then pick up some of the color by running your brush over the scribbles. You can easily control how intense your color is. If you want a dark color you use less alcohol on your brush, if you just want a wash of color you use more alcohol on your brush. If you make any mistakes simply “paint” back over them with your rubbing alcohol to dilute the color as much as necessary.
It’s also easy to create a fade between two colors or even mixing colors to create a new color. You’re really only limited by your imagination!
This plate was definitely made for these kinds of techniques, or reverse stamping as well depending on what kind of look you’re going for. I hope you like this mani. Let me know in the comments below!
