LynB Designs I Can and I Will
I Can and I Will is described as a medium grey crelly base with intense gold to orange to red shimmer and micro holo shreds. This is such a beautiful and unique shade! It has so many colors shifting through, the most prominent being gold and red. I was able to capture some of the orange shimmer in the macro though. The holo micro shreds are still just uncommon enough that it’s always a delight to see them. It had a nice formula, dried fast and covered fully in just 2 coats. Sealed with glossy top coat.
LynB Designs Better than Unicorns and Sparkles Combined
Better than Unicorns and Sparkles Combined is described as a blurple jelly base loaded with linear holo and shifting iridescent glitters. For me this is the big stand out shade in this collection. Keep in mind though that my swatches pull a little more blue than it is in real life, so just double check some other swatches if the precise color is really important to you. There is no shortage of holo in this beautiful shade and the always amazing iridescent glitters are nicely pronounced. It had a very nice formula that applied smoothly and dried quickly. For my swatches I used 2 coats with glossy top coat.
LynB Designs I’m Choosing Happiness
I’m Choosing Happiness is described as a bright red jelly base loaded with pink to orange to yellow shimmer and a rainbow of micro flakies. Maybe it’s the time of year, but this pink just pops! It’s not neon so no worries about it being too bright (if that’s even a thing?) To me it’s such a welcome change this time of year and I just found myself not wanting to ever take it off. I used 2 coats for my swatches, but you can see just a hint of VNL on some nails. It dries fast so adding one more thin coat would be easy. Sealed with glossy top coat.
LynB Designs It’s Not What You Have, But Who You Have
It’s Not What You Have, But Who You Have is described as a turquoise jelly base with red to violet to blue shift with a scattering of pink glass fleck. The shifts here are just gorgeous! The glass fleck does give it a slight texture look but it dries glossy and smooth. The formula was slightly thick but still applied pretty easily and covered fully in 3 thin coats. Topped with glossy top coat.
LynB Designs Be Kind to Yourself
Be Kind to Yourself is described as a jungle green jelly base with subtle green to blue to purple shimmer and greeny gold glass fleck. This is a unique shade of green in my collection, and the shimmer gives it a slight teal hue. I think the glass fleck must be smaller than it is on the other as it doesn’t have the slight textured look that it’s turquoise counterpart did. It had a nice smooth formula and dried quickly. I used 3 coats with glossy top coat for my swatches.
LynB Designs Have the Power to Create Change
Have the Power to Create Change is described as a red/purple jelly base with orange shimmer, blue/green iridescent micro glitters, and indigo to purple to red to orange shifting shimmer. It’s kind of mauve, kind of pink, and kind gold. I don’t think it’s a stretch to call it a rosey gold. I think it’s the orange shimmer that gives it a bit of agokd hue. I love that the shades in this collection are complex and give off so many various colors and shifts. The formula was smooth and easy to apply. The 3 thin coats I used dried quickly. Sealed with glossy top coat.
LynB Designs Happiness is an Inside Job
Happiness is an Inside Job is described as a blue grey toned base with gold shimmer, gold glass flecks, and blue to violet to red shifting shimmer. Unfortunately I don’t believe my swatches do this polish justice. It is complex and has so many facets it felt like my camera didn’t know what to focus on, so it seems like it didn’t focus on anything very well. I liked it better in person than I do in my photos. The brush shot above seems to really show off all the aspects better. It was a little on the thick side but can still be applied smoothly with a little patience. I used 3 thin coats plus glossy top coat for my swatches.
LynB Designs My Best is Always Enough
My Best is Always Enough is described as a pale sandy crelly base with turquoise shimmer throughout, a hint of scattered holo and green/blue glass fleck. I really like this soft buttery shade but unfortunately this kind of shade is also often streaky. The formula was pretty thick too so I found it a bit difficult to apply. I also found that due to the thickness the glass fleck didn’t always lay down flat. I used 2 coats with glossy top coat. I will be applying a bit of thinner to my bottle which I think will help. Especially if you like a thinner formula polish. Looking back it could definitely use a third coat, and I believe that would even out the finish.
LynB Designs You Already are the Light
You Already are the Light is described as a blue grey green jelly base with red to pink to orange shimmer and copper micro holo sparkle. Woah baby! I have always loved blues with strong pink shimmer, but this is even more. Check out that copper holo microglitter! This gives it that extra something that makes it another real stand out shade in this collection. It applied easily and smoothly, and each coat dried quickly as well. I used 3 thin coats with glossy top coat. I believe using slightly thicker coats would have covered my nail line, but it may not even be necessary if you have a less opaque free edge or shorter nails.
Seven years is really something to be proud of for Jenna! She has been a gracious and respected member of the indie community and I definitely hope to see her for many more years! I remember when I discovered Jenna’s polishes, it was probably 5 years ago. I purchased many and often, and still do at times that I haven’t swatched a collection. (BTW I also highly recommend her B Smooth ridge filling base coat!) If you haven’t tried LynB Designs it’s definitely time to find out what you have missed.
There are many great shades in this collection but my top favorites are I Can and I Will, Better than Unicorns and Sparkles Combined, I’m Choosing Happiness, Have the Power to Create Change, and You Already Are the Light.
