The Dravite base in Phoenix Dravite, Dragon Dravite, Unicorn Dravite, and Kelpie Dravite is a chocolatey brown, and is based on dravite, which is brown tourmaline. I found that these covered fully in 3 thin coats as I would normally apply them. They apply easily and dry very quickly.

The Garnet base in Phoenix Garnet, Dragon Garnet, Unicorn Garnet, and Kelpie Garnet is dark red, and is based on red garnets. I used medium thick coats for each of the Garnet polishes. It was enough to cover mostly, but I still found a couple to be fairly thin in some places. The first coat was often streaky but evened out by the second or third. I would suggest being careful to not overwork the polish, it dries very quickly and has a tendency to drag.

The Kyanite base in Phoenix Kyanite, Dragon Kyanite, Unicorn Kyanite, and Kelpie Kyanite is a translucent medium blue, and is named after kyanite, which is occurs most frequently in shades of blue. The base for Kyanite is a tweaked version of the base used in Autumn Air, a custom polish created with Phoenix pigment. The recipe for Kyanite is different because of a change in suppliers for colorants, and it has also been made slightly stronger in color. You will find that all my swatches of the Kyanite polishes will show a pronounced nail line, despite using a medium thick coat. Keep in mind that blue almost always shows nail line. In person the VNL was present but far less pronounced as it is in photos. But I would suggest planning to use these as toppers over your favorite blue (or purple!) if VNL is an issue for you.
