Bee’s Knees Lacquer Stormy
The formula on this was flawless and applied smoothly in just 2 coats for full opacity. It does have that strong “blue polish smell” though, of course it disappears once it’s dry.
From the Maker: Sunriser, inspired by the horse so in love with Starlite, this is a hot pink jelly filled with opalescent shimmer giving it a golden shift just like a sun rise.
I love this pink! It’s just the perfect girly shimmery pink beauty. Applied effortlessly in 2 coats. Sealed with glossy top coat.
From the Maker: On-X inspired by Krys’ mechanical horse, this is a dark slate polish with opalescent shimmer and a strong pink shift.
On-X is definitely one of my top favs from this collection. Between the pink shimmer and teal shifts this polish has everything. It’s absolutely stunning. My swatches are 2 easy smooth coats then sealed with glossy top coat.
Bee’s Knees Lacquer Murky Dismal
From the Maker: Murky Dismal is inspired by the bumbling villain in Rainbow Brite. There is no bumbling around though with this grass green jelly filled with opalescent shimmer, giving it a lime green shift.
Have I mentioned a thousand times I love green polish? Clearly I have a lot of VNL (visible nail line) at 3 coats, but I suspect most of that is my very opaque free edge. But this polish is so pretty I don’t even mind. 3 coats with glossy top coat.
From the Maker: Skydancer inspired by Stormy’s fearsome horse, is an indigo jelly with tons of opalescent shimmer.
Imagine that, another stunner! Pictures really don’t do it justice. Again some VNL at 3 coats, but not enough to bother me. Sealed with glossy top coat.
Bee’s Knees Lacquer Dark Princess
From the Maker: Dark Princess is inspired by the main villain in Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer. It is described as a fire orange jelly with opalescent shimmer, giving it a golden shift to mimic her hair.
Love love love this fiery glowing orange! Flawless formula. 3 easy coats with glossy top coat.
Bee’s Knees Lacquer Majestic AF
From the Maker: Majestic AF inspired by none other than Starlite himself, this is an opalescent top coat that adds a gold to pink to lime green shift to any polish underneath it.
A beautiful versatile topper that would be gorgeous over any shade. Here I have 1 coat over black then sealed with glossy top coat.
Seriously you all this collection is gorgeous! You need these in your life. They all have a lovely smooth formula that glide effortlessly on the nail. My personal favorites are Sunriser, On-X, Murky Dismal, and Dark Princess.
The Rainbow Brite collection will make it’s debut this Saturday, March 24th at The Indie Shop Atlanta. It will then go live on the Bee’s Knees website, at approximately 11am. Each polish will retail for $11, with the exception of Majestic AF which will retail for $8.
Until next time, stay polished!
