Some of you may remember I did a Throwback Thursday series for a short while last year. Sadly it didn’t last as I got more and more busy with press samples, but I’m going to give it another go. Except this time I’ve decided to join Cynthia from OfLifeandLacquer.com for her Vintage Friday series. I can pretty much guarantee I won’t manage EVERY friday, but I’m going to enjoy it as often and as much as I can.
My interest in vintage polish started when I found an old Orly polish that was given to me by my sisters mother in law. She passed away just a few short years later so finding that polish meant a lot to me. That one polish gradually turned into a real fascination with vintage polish. Unfortunately I have no beauty shops, short of Sally’s, anywhere around here and no one in my family ever really wore polish before me. So the extent of my vintage collection is mostly ebay finds, but thats not all bad considering I have lots of experience shopping on ebay.
OPI Telepathic Topaz
So today I’m showing you OPI Telepathic Topaz. This is a black label OPI from the 2000 Millennium Collection. For being 18 years old it applied very easily, although it was quite thin. I used 3 coats in my swatches.
So while this polish is not unique or extraordinary by todays standards, it probably was in the year 2000. I just love the color shift!
What do you think of Telepathic Topaz? What are some of your favorite black label OPI’s?
