I’ve seen lots of variations of this basic look over the years and I’ve always admired them, so I knew it was time for me to finally do it. The Stamping prompt was the perfect excuse for it as it has both double stamping and layered stamping. Or perhaps just 3 layers depending on your terminology. I started with a base of Pahlish La Derniere Reine which is a lovely soft ivory neutral crelly with copper colored microflakes. I did a little dry brush to give the base an “aged” look. Then came the stamping.
For the first layer I stamped the text using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief with stamping plate MoYou London Literature Collection 01. The roses are a layered image from UberChic Welcome Spring plate. The first layer was the red body of the rose that I stamped using MdU Red. I then added the outline with Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.
As you can see my layered stamping is not lined up quite right. I haven’t found a good technique yet to ensure they line up, especially on the small images. I will though, practice makes perfect. I hope. 🙂
