Leadlighting is a technique where you stamp an image on your nails, often a reverse image, then color it in on your nail using jelly polishes giving it a stained glass look.
For this look I started with a base color of white using Colors by Llarowe Chasing a Unicorn. I then used Painted Polish Midnight Mischief I stamped the reverse roses image, which left me with essentially white roses. Then using all 3 shades from the Zoya Jelly Brites Trio I colored in the roses giving the nails a real depth that almost resembles stained glass. You don’t have to be particularly neat to do this as the polish is sheer and if you go outside the border it will not show up over the black. When you’re all done finish it off with a nice thick top coat to seal it all in.
Have you ever done a leadlighting manicure? If you’re relatively good with stamping then you can do leadlighting, it really isn’t hard. Hope you enjoyed todays post. The Zoya Jelly Brites Trio is available now online and in select beauty stores.
