Pond manis are super simple, but they do require some patience. It’s just a process of layer of polish, stamping, layer of polish, etc. I started with one coat of BaronessX Alhambra on some of my nails, and started with turtle stamping on a few others. This was to give some nails a different depth than others. When the stamping was dry I painted another thin layer of Alhambra, then more stamping, then another layer of Alhambra. I varied what images I used and where I stamped on each nail. I really wanted each nail to look different so I varied each one up as I went.
Items used:
- BaronessX Alhambra
- Color Club White Coated
- MoYou London Animal 09
- MoYou London Explorer 16
I lost track of how many layers I did, but it’s at least 4-5 coats of just the polish itself, and of course the stamping between each one. Not that it needed that many layers but the more layers you use the more depth the final look will have.
I love how this turned out! So many cute little sea turtles swimming around in the bright blue tropical waters. Swimming with sea turtles should go on my bucket list. Too bad I’m terrified of actually swimming in the ocean. LOL
