Zoya Leigh
Leigh is described as a full-coverage perfect winter nude – rich and warm cream with just a hint of pink to compliment any skintone. My swatches show one coat with glossy top coat. I can often get one coat coverage with Zoya cremes, although I highly recommend a ridge filling base coat. One coat coverage tends to show any imperfections in your nail bed, and the ridge filling base coat solves that problem. I personally recommend LynB Designs B-Smooth.
Carson is described as a full-coverage muted nude pink cream – a beautiful shade to create an understated elegance. My swatches show one coat with glossy top coat.
Astrid is described as a liquid gold foil that adds a festive touch to any holiday look. My swatches show three coats with glossy top coat. You might get away with two coats though.
Taryn is described as a fiery fuchsia micro-irredescent shimmer with blue undertones. My swatches show two coats with glossy top coat.
Maxine is described as a full-coverage rich red cream with an evenly balanced undertone. I love this red, it is the perfect shade! My swatches show one coat with glossy top coat.
Allison is described as a full-coverage plum-toned ruby cream – a more amped up version of a traditional plum shade. My swatches show two coats with glossy top coat.
Cookie is described as a purple PixieDust with gold flecks. These new pixie dusts are a bit more textured than previous releases, so keep that in mind before ordering. And before you ask no I can’t deal with texture on my nails.. but I love using textured polishes on my toes. Easy to apply, dry quickly, and last forever. My swatches show two coats, no top coat.
Chiara is described as a full-coverage deep purple cream. My swatches show one coat with glossy top coat.
Danica is described as a full-coverage rich deep teal cream. My swatches show one coat with glossy top coat.
Juniper is described as a sparkling teal textured PixieDust. A beautiful color and I love the sparkle! My swatches show two coats, no top coat.
Leopard Spots is described as a special effect topper designed to layer over textured PixieDust shades for an edgy leopard spots effect. So this is kind of fun, but when I saw that it’s designed to go over pixie dusts it made me wonder what it would do over a textured polish, but also what a regular shatter polish would do over a pixiedust.
I destashed all my shatter polishes years ago, but in the interest of science I ordered OPI Black Shatter. As you can see it reacts very similar to Leopard Spots over both types of polishes, and I was even able to duplicate the effect dependent on how thick or thin of a coat I used. Do you need both? I think probably not, unless you just really love the effect and plan to wear it often.
Kateri is described as a full-coverage beautiful midnight brown cream. My swatches show one coat with glossy top coat.
My thoughts on this collection: They all have the smooth dependable formula we can count on from Zoya, and most of the cremes were perfect in one coat when used with a ridge filling base. The Jubilee Collection has a nice mix of colors, and I love that they have included two new PixieDusts.
Which do you plan on picking up or have you already grabbed your favorites? My top picks are Carson, Taryn, Maxine, Danica, and Juniper.
The Jubilee Collection is available now on Zoya.com.
