Miss Tizzy by Libba Moore Gray
Before she was Libba Moore Gray the author she was Libby Moore high school english teacher. My high school english teacher to be exact. She was a sweet and kind, yet very tough, teacher and I believe every student she had felt the care and compassion she held for everyone. After this one she went on to write quite a few more childrens books, but sadly a few years after I graduated she died from cancer. I can’t help but think that Miss Tizzy was her, a kind eccentric old soul.
For this mani I felt that representing the wildflower garden in Miss Tizzy’s backyard was the key, but I could not accomplish the eclectic feel with stamping so freehand it is. I started with a gradient of Zoya Josie and Sally Hansen Sky Blue, then started drawing on the wildflowers using acrylic paints. I wasn’t concerned with making them neat and clean, and just kind of went where the brush took me. Finally I added in Miss Tizzy’s purple hat with white feathers.
Items Used:

I absolutely love how this mani turned out, I really like how its just a bit rough and whimsical and really captures the spirit of the book. This ones for you Ms. Gray. RIP
I’ll be back tomorrow with a new set of book themed nails. Be sure to check out the link up below to see what the other ladies did for today.
